Judy Lawlor, MS, SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Judy graduated with a Masters of Health Science Degree in Communication Disorders from Governor State University. She completed her Clinical Fellowship year in 1987 and was awarded the Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. She is licensed to practice Speech/ Language Pathology in the State of Illinois and has a Professional Educator License in Speech Pathology awarded by the Illinois State Board of Education.
Judy’s three decades of experiences have included work as an Adjunct Clinical Professor and Clinical Instructor at two Universities. She has also worked in Special Education, serving children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. She believes that all individuals are entitled to the gift of communication and works diligently to ensure that her students become effective communicators.
Judy specializes in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnoses. She finds great joy when she can bring a smile to a student’s face, elicit a laugh while playing a game and facilitating the development of spontaneous language through fun, meaningful and engaging activities. She is passionate about helping kids maximize their strengths and developing the communication skills needed to enjoy a full life marked by happiness, through family friendships and work. Judy will be joining us in a part time capacity this year and we look forward to using her expertise to help us grow and further develop our speech program!
