Meet Michael
Michael Mayer, MA, LBS1Special Education Teacher |
In 2007, Michael received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago and began his career as a Music Teacher. He has since taught Band, Choir, Orchestra, and General Music at all levels ranging from Kindergarten-12th grade. In 2016, Michael completed a Master's Degree in Special Education with an LBS1 Endorsement at Concordia University Chicago in River Forest and has worked as a 1-to-1 and classroom paraprofessional, an in-house Special Education Substitute, as well as a Resource Teacher for Kindergarten-8th grade students.
During his free time, Michael enjoys singing karaoke, biking, dancing, going to concerts, spending time with friends and family, and travelling. He plays over 25 instruments, has been to hundreds of live concerts, and has vacationed to Greece, Italy, Hawaii, the Dominican Republic, and more. He is thrilled to be the newest edition to the Holtz Family, and excited to meet and work with everyone. |
